Would be comical if we had both Sarah Cox’s in the stadium at
the same time. Sarah Cox the BT Rugby presenter and Sarah Cox
the referee!
Pleased to see this happen for her! She deserves it!

Do they still call her sir? I only ask because I’ve watched many
women’s games and they still call the ref sir whichever of the
many denominations of gender/sex they might be. They still also
have man of the match even though there are none playing.
I’ve probably opened an unappetising can of squirmy things
but I was just curious (not bi curious).

Being female and sufficient age to have played cricket in the
last century when girls cricket was fashionable last time, we
called all umpires either (or should that be any) sex Sir.

In amateur games we occasionally get female refs. On the whole,
players try to use Ma’am but in the hear of battle habits tend
to kick in. Luckily, most female refs are fine being called Sir.

Well it's difficult for all referees regardless of gender (or
pronoun) to see everything so I consider it my civic duty to
point out offsides, holding ons and high tackles.
Might get ref link just for the Ma'am v Marler exchanges.
