Not until people stop getting wound up by other people trying to
wind them up.
That was regarding the reference to Quins and Sarries. Not
Exeter.

Sorry don’t understand your reply, they are asking if Exeter,
Sarries and Quins should change badge /name as racially
connected

They’ve put Harlequins in there to deliberately try and make
this look ridiculous and detract from the Exeter issue. It
appears to be working.

They blocked a Black Harlequins supporter who objected!
This appears to be genuine, they have also stated that
Harlequins racist imagery due to Black face paint

Sat here in a Quins T-shirt and the Harlequin has a white face,
so not sure what could be so offensive.
However Twitter, FB and other forms of SM are full of bored
people looking to be offended by something.

Someone's trolling. A domino mask is not blackface, and it's at
the extreme end of (over)sensitivity to complain that one
European culture borrowing from another is cultural
appropriation, especially when you're dealing with a theatrical
tradition.
That said, it's legitimate to question whether one culture
borrowing from another is still appropriate if it causes offence
- but equally it's legitimate to question how real - or well
informed - that offence is.
I don't think anybody seriously believes there's a bunch of
Italian devotees of Commedia del'Arte who are offended by
Harlequins' 150 year old decision to borrow a character design
from that tradition, and more than the inhabitants of Venice and
fair Verona are upset by Shakespeare setting his plays in their
towns.
Equally, there's a legitimate case that a significant - and
historically oppressed - community in the US is offended by the
Chiefs' use of war bonnets, however innocently intentioned.
There's a lot of grey in this sort of thing, though, so the
answer usually lies in sensible debate and each side trying to
understand the other side's position. Fat chance of that on the
internet, mind.
