that the Maori themselves have stated their happiness for it to
represent all of New Zealand. Don't forget that individual
schools, rugby clubs, heck even wedding parties perform Hakas
across NZ without an issue. It's a part of everyday life in NZ,
regardless of the race of the people performing it.

their rules regarding how teams are and aren't allowed to
respond to it (with fines as Joe found out)? Absolutely. You
only need to look back to the footage of an All Blacks team from
the 70s to see how far its changed over the years. Also I think
the issue is that it's now too familiar. Times were that teams
and fans would only see a Haka once every four or five years if
they were lucky. Now, due to the Summer tours being easier to
watch, alongside the Rugby Championship, Autumn Internationals
and the RWC, we see it almost too much and the "mystique" of the
Haka is gone.

How many Maori would it take to disagree for it not be OK
though, as it seems it takes different amounts for different
things and whether it's for or against!
Think it can be very confusing to many people.

Taking this at face value, there’s no defined amount. Instead,
when there’s a complaint made we need to read it, reflect on it
and decide if we want to take any action.
The importance of the change is also going to play a part in how
an organisation chooses to react. Dropping the haka would be a
huge call so you’d expect there be an overwhelming majority in
favour before any change was made. Something trivial like
calling ‘Kaffir limes’ by a different name (thanks Daily Mail!)
is going to happen after a handful of people complain.

My daughters tell me I am old fashioned, chauvinistic,
misogynistic, racist and bigoted. They still bring me whiskey
though...:)

Why should one thing need more or less people than others to be
offensive? Not trying to start an argument just that I find it
hard to understand what is insulting about what Exeter and their
fans are doing. I know it may say more about me.
As I'm not from any minority, tribe or it seems anything that
can be discriminated against I'll be told I know nothing about
their feelings but, I just can't imaging I'd be offended.
Being a little short in height (5'6") the one thing that I find
close to be offensive to me is when people trying to be polite
and say I'm vertically challenged but, I find more annoying then
offensive.
If it is insulting and/or offensive then the manufacturers
should be made to stop producing the insulting/offensive items.
