Officially Will Evans won’t be ready to play until mid October
although he is hoping to get back earlier.

Given he also covers second row, I guess he's a younger
replacement for Tex Cavubati. Matson knows him so at least his
bedding into the squad will be a little easier than someone
coming in not knowing anyone. Good to have him as an option,
especially given the cover he provides.

He would be one of the smallest second rows. To me, then again
he is only two inches shorter than Super Maro. For me, he is a
back row. We need the completion at 8 and looks like he could be
a good bench option if he can do something at second row.

This has the potential to be a good signing. We needed a
physical 6/8 and if he’s genuinely capable of covering lock,
       that could be really useful.
Read’s response was pretty generic, but the fact that Taulani
was name checked by the journo suggests that there’s potential
       there.

So, basically you’re saying you haven’t got a clue. 🙂

I never heard of him until this year.
Got called into the Chiefs Super rugby this seasons as injury
cover & played a couple of games, also made his Tonga debut this
year - most of the games off the bench.
In limited game time for Chiefs - really impressive as a ball
playing forward & aggressive tackler - but was a No8 playing at
lock. My take - On what I've seen he will do well but this is
his first full time professional contract.

The fact this signing was without rumours, could it be the
Matson link bringing in a player he knows with potential to fill
a role. Hopefully a win:win as we get the player cheaply and he
gains top league experience with the whole deal done quickly.

Well there’s not much evidence to go on. He’s mostly played at
       provincial level which a) I haven’t seen and b) wouldn’t be that
       informative anyway.
       I don’t have a clue. I’m purely speculating upon what I could
       find.

Let's just hope it's the Harlequins Way of the last 6 months,
       not the last 30 years.
