No more Gatland please. I think even this tour was one too many.
In all seriousness I do really think Eddie Jones should be given
the chance. He has his limitations but getting his players to
'buy-in' and achieving top results in the short-term are where
he excels. It's only when he sticks around too long he
struggles. He'd get a Lions squad firing on all cylinders.
Do have to admit though that a big part of me would like to see
a British or Irish coach.

Give Townsend a go of Scotland stay half decent over the next
few years. Gatland again would be immensely tedious and I doubt
I’d be that interested in it. This tour bored me senseless
frankly.

Steve Borthwick. If he keeps on progressing the Tigers and wins
a couple of prems, I can see him getting a shout.

I was just listening to the radio and they were talking about
the Lions being very boring this tour. The discussion mentioned
how good the Allblacks v Australia game was and that they would
have trouble selling the next tour as nobody would want to watch
it. It’s become a win at all costs tour rather than a
celebration of putting the best players of Britain and Ireland
together and having a game against SA, NZ and Aus. I don’t see
what you’ve got to loose by playing an open Quins style as the
Lions hardly ever win a tour anyway but at least it would be
entertaining.

Gustard’s the man. He wants “to be part of a group where there
was a clear vision, a deep level of trust and a dynamic
environment driven towards high goals” remember…

Sure is. Once every 12 years played by different generation of
players.

Wouldn’t be averse to this group IF they’ve all had experience
of coaching test teams by then.
Every account I read/see seems to remark in how different a
national coaching role is to a club role.
