Well, his last two games would argue against this:
Vs Bristol, 91mins
Vs Exeter, 80mins

I’d hope next season DC isn’t having to play as many minutes as
he did last season. Will be interesting to see if either
Stafford or Gjatema can step up or if we’ll have to sign someone
to be our starting 9 post DC.

yeah, this has been a big change, though I wonder how much of
that was 'needs must', or a result of our change in training
focus. Certainly for many of his recent matches he was spent
after 60mins.

I'd imagine that Stafford and Gjaltema are vying to be Steele's
understudy in the first instance.

The 9 has to be the fittest player on the pitch to get to every
ruck quickly. To do this and have a quick ball offloading fast
game is going to be hard going for an old codger like DC so I’m
not surprised he doesn’t make the full 80 all the time. To have
the fitness to play longer in the last two games is phenomenal.
