My favourite is that since inventing rugby in 1864, Nick Easter
played in every subsequent game until his retirement.

Danny has had plenty of chances and has never quite managed to
be the player he promised to be at international level. He's
enjoying a fine Indian summer at Quins but it's hardly been
smooth sailing for him at club level for the last four years,
either.

I agree Danny has had his problems over the last few years.
However now he seems released to play in a style that suits him,
he's been right at the heart of our success last season. I
always thought Eddie Jones stifled his creativity. I'm sure from
EJ's point of view he probably hated the way Danny would ignore
the play instructions and try and play what was in front of him.
Unfortunately if the rest of the team is playing the EJ
approach, that's going to bamboozle them as much as the
opposition, and then EJ has the perfect excuse to drop you.

Players like Wigglesworth, Spencer and Youngs were almost more
suited to the preferred conservative game plan of boot the ball
in the air and run after it, or pass to farrell to let him kick
it away.
Care's errors with england always seemed to get far more
scrutiny / criticism than youngs' errors too. Youngs seems to
get a free pass for his consistently awful passing, and his box
kicking is much less reliable than his reputation would suggest

Care no longer has the ability to play more than 50/60 minutes,
but his decision making has improved dramatically since his last
England outings. The thing that's really improved out of sight
is his kicking game. Much as I hate the prevalence of
box-kicking he's gone from being utterly dreadful to one of the
best in the prem.
