Canada vs USA 5/8
Then RSA vs Aus 5/8
So it decides who ends up in position 5-8

GB lose bronze medal game to Argentina. Unfortunately OLH had a
bit of a shocker.

No medal - no more funding?

I think that they lost a lot of their funding already. All the
contracts were scrapped due to Covid, and then they only
received funding for the Olympics and 2021 world series. They
face a very uncertain future.

From a tweet from Ugo
'It's a real achievement that they are here in

Men's rugby sevens
Ugo Monye
2009 Lions winger Ugo Monye
What I really love about the sevens is how it has captured a
broad audience.
I think it's really important to put a bit of context about what
these boys have done to get here. Just over a year ago they were
effectively unemployed, training by themselves, trying to keep
fit whilst there was so much uncertainty.
So it's a real achievement that they are here in the first
place.
They will have learned from the New Zealand defeat that you
can't give the opposition that amount of ball and amount of
opportunity that they did. They almost just ran out of steam and
ideas in the end.
It's been an almighty challenge but all credit to these guys.
Hopefully when they look back, with a bronze medal around their
necks , they'll be really proud of what they've done.
Shame they didn't get the medal, but they gave it everything.

'We gave it everything'
GB miss out on bronze to Argentina
Team GB
Team GB Rugby Sevens captain Dan Bibby speaking on BBC One:
"Deflated, it hurts. There's not many words to sum it up, it
really hurts.
"I don't think we were off the pace, we gave two easy tries away
which in a finals match like that you can't give those away.
We've seen it all all weekend, a missed tackle or a bouncing
ball and that's the game.
"Would I change anything? No. Because when I looked around at
the end I could see everyone was hurt because everyone left it
out there. You don't mind losing if you feel like you fired
every shot and we gave it everything."
On a difficult build-up to the tournament: "To be here is a bit
of a miracle from where we were 12 months ago.
"We know how hard we worked to just get the team together. I am
beyond proud of the boys of being here and giving everything to
each other and to GB and all our friends and family at home.
"That is bigger than any medal - I would trade all the medals in
the world for the friendships I have here."

Now, I'm no professional sportsman, but I could've told them
that beforehand for free.
