Yeah, I wouldnt mind another ball carrying 8. Depending on how
       we use Jurevicius

Think Hyde will be used a bit in the centre. Ulster disappointed
he’s decided to come back to Quins. Also Beard is really a 13
having made his debut in the wing v Sale at the end of the
       season

Chis Jr is a more than useful; number 8. It was his position
when he was Junior World Player of the Year.

I think Quins will see Chis as our main backup number 8
providing he can stay fit. Would probably also allow for
Kenningham and Evans to be selected alongside each other as that
       back-row would be nicely balanced.

I think the worry might be that Chisholm missed a bit of the
season last year. He made a huge difference when he played so a
back up of similar carrying ability would be great.

Green is listed on offy as a fly half. Marchant also played a
fair bit there up to U20, and we seemed to be prepping for him
and Taps to play backup FH towards the end of the season.
Baxter seems to have switched to loosehead (and has been very
effective there, from what I have seen).
Chis Jr and Lawday can both play 8, and it’s been suggested that
CSW might be able to play there - he would certainly offer a big
ball carrying option in the pack.

Yeah, with finite finances and salary cap space there’s always
going to have to be compromises made, but the balance across the
squad feels about right, particularly if some of the younger
guys are able to make the step up.
That said… if we did need another option at 10, Tommy Matthews
is now unattached and has been playing well with the England
u20s. He is already rather well travelled through various age
group systems but could potentially be worth a trial, as long as
it doesn’t block Benson’s development (always assuming Benson
has actually signed for the Academy - not yet confirmed.)

There was rumours of us signing another FH from Cardiff Met
(Bennet?) - could still be one or two more to come in over the
       summer.

Well, the two we've taken from Cardiff Met already have turned
out to be inspired choices. I'd be happy if we unearthed another
       gem from there!

The Bennett rumour was definitely interesting given our recent
history with Cardiff Met graduates, and if I recall correctly
he’s a 10/12 which could be handy. But that rumour is pretty
cold by now, and I think someone mentioned that he’d tried out
with the squad for a period during last pre-season?
Which reminds me, regarding our centre coverage, it’s worth
noting that Allan can play 12. It might mean a bit of rejigging
of the back line, and wouldn’t be a long term fix, but could be
useful if we had a some short-term unavailability.
