I do hope he goes well up in Scotland, though. He always seemed
a nice lad and he deserves a good career, if he can settle on
one position it'll do him the world of good.
edit: And in his defence, while I thought 13 was the only
position I'd be happy to see him in, you can't play 10 a couple
of times a year and be any good as a flyhalf - he wants to be a
10 and he was better than Herron at least, so if they're willing
to give him games there oop north there could be a good
       improvement.

Meh. A discussion board without disagreement would be a dismal
       place.

Absolutely. But a message board where others are allowed to have
opinions without being told they are wrong is even better :)

Surely if you hold a contrary opinion to someone then by default
you think their opinion is wrong?
Also, it's worth pointing out that this disagreement started
with r+c completely disagreeing with me personally, and
repeatedly suggesting my opinion was wrong. I see no problem
with him doing that - I'll just back my opinion up with more
detail to explain why I hold that opinion. But I guess you're
not so keen to jump to my defence when someone disagrees with
       me!

It may help to be reminded of the Rules of the Forum
  HTML https://comeallwithin.createaforum.com/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=8%20%20
       [quote=Rules of the Forum]
Play the ball, not the person!
Do not make personal remarks about other posters, do not make
personal attacks on other posters, do not attack individuals
mentioned in posts, or attack other commenters. We encourage
committed and passionate debate, but ad-hominem insults or
insinuations are not part of this. Debate the issues, do not
       attack individuals.
Do not tell people how to think. Do not put someone down because
they disagree with you. Do not make remarks that indicates their
opinion is worth less than yours because it is different.
If all posters agreed with each other, a forum would be a dull
and unenlightening space. But there are ways to phrase dissent
without resorting to foul language, incivility and SHOUTING.
Even if you believe what another poster is saying is
unreasonable, express your response in a reasonable fashion.
Respect each other as human beings.

I think the second paragraph DOK quotes above covers it.
But that's just my opinion of course and no more right/wrong
       than anyone else's!

Honestly, I'll defend R&C here. Quoting me to tell me I was
wrong with my opinion is absolutely fine. He didn't just say
"you're wrong" and was willing to engage in discussion, as was
       I. I'd hate to see that sort of disagreement banned; my opinion
isn't sacrosanct and he was perfectly within his rights to
       vehemently disagree with it.
