My point was, Quintron, that it might be irrelevant, but you
specifically said you voted for Randall when that wasn’t an
option. So you are either a troll or a liar.

Randall got my vote for man of the match. It's a very common
expression.

He was. There seem to have been two MotMs. One on the TV
coverage, I think chosen by Chris Ashton. He awarded that to
Harry Randall. I seem to remember that one got announced in the
stadium.
Then there was also the online RFU / Bollinger one, which was a
fan vote between Cokanasiga, Underhill and Smith, which Smith
won.

England's defence was poor - the backs had a bit of an excuse
with the injuries and players subsequently out of position, but
the scrum had no such excuse - maul defence twice and charge
down were examples of poorly co-ordinated defence. Not sure I'd
want Ludlow as skipper again - Underhill would have been a
better call although he has scant experience in the roll. Should
have started with Curry. Chick had a few rumbles but wasn't
exactly lighting up the field. The front row couldn't stabilise
and seemed out of sync with locks. Not a good dat at the office
for the front 8 generally (Underhill excepted).

Yup, agreed. Genge made a few too many errors. Obano put in some
huge hits but that was the main thing he did. No real standouts
aside from Underhill, who we already knew is one of the best in
the world.
Shame we couldn't see more from the starting backline.

I agree. Genge is consistently good at club level but I remain
unconvinced at international level. I think he will get there,
but he's not worth the hype he gets at the moment.
That backline looked promising for the brief period before it
got disrupted - though I think we'd all like to see Marchant in
there next week. He's the form English outside centre by some
distance right now, and his versatility in covering wing as well
is a big plus if we're going to pick up more injuries. And I
think having him and Dommers in there would get much more out of
Marcus.
