There is an interview with Quins foundation somewhere done
jointly with his father. When asked about the family going back
to Oz Michael said that no decision had been made but that his
wife was from Italy. Maybe it can be dug out! From memory we
paid something for the zoom call. Michael wanted Lewis to go to
Uni!

Congrats to all 4, but especially to Jack for such an incredible
rise over the last few months. Bit hard on Northmore maybe, but
then he's got Marchant ahead of him at Quins, then there's Slade
and various others.
I do think that Umaga is rather overrated.

Lynagh grew up in England, went to English schools and
represented England at youth level. I’d have been surprised if
he went to play for Oz although if Eddie doesn’t pick him you
wouldn’t blame him. He was born in Italy and is half Italian of
course so he could go that way. He’d walk into their team
tomorrow

There's so many good young wings that he'll have to go some to
force his way into the England reckoning. Radwan,
Hassell-Collins, Cokanasiga, Sleightholme, O'Flaherty, etc. It's
on him to nail down the starting place for Quins and to press
his claims.

21 it is. He's made 9 starts.
The most anonymous England player of the last 5 years, but there

Outstanding news especially for Dommers and Smith. Keningham
wow, boys own stuff.
Interesting the Eddie has only brought in Slade from Exeter. No
Joe Simmonds or Devoto. Also not one Exeter forward in with that
group. They must wonder what they have to do to get selected.

All four deserving of selection. Give Marcus the keys Eddie ffs.
There was something going around about Lynagh doing a degree at
LSE while playing for us, which would tie him here for some
time, which I don't think anyone here would dislike.
Where he plays internationally is up to him. Wing is fairly
settled in the test side but fullback is an open competition and
that's his preferred position. He'd be up against Nowell, Malins
etc but he's equal to it if that's what he wants. He'd be
Italy's poster boy, or try his hand in whatever's left of Super
Rugby.

They have 2 going with Lions and the rest are quite cosmopolitan
- Saffers, Zimmers (although not sure if Ewers has played for
them) Scots, Welsh etc...

I didn’t realise Joe Simmonds wasn’t in the team. Looks like
it’s his turn for the ridiculous Jones omission. He’s way better
than Umaga…
