No surprises at Marcus and Alex but a huge thumbs up to Jack
Kennington and the icing on the cake for what has been a
remarkable season for him..

He is English qualified - spent his formative years at Hampton
School. But Eddie already has a stack of back three players in
his squad (plus Marchant).

Re Lynagh, I think the Aussies will drive a dump truck load of
cash up to his door shortly. As his brother's already signed for
Queensland Reds, they'll almost certainly have a plan to capture
him.

He would need to play in Australia, and the aussie domestic
comp is pretty poor. The trans tasman comp they played with NZ,
only 1 aussie side registered a win, The Reds (who are the best
aussie side). They all got regularly stuffed. Difference to his
brother, he is not behind Smith, Allan and Benson in trying for
a starting place.

From reading the interviews with them, I thought there was an
element of the brothers wanting to differentiate themselves.
Louis was already established with Quins before his younger
sibling went to Queensland. I don't think that means Louis is
committed to playing for England - but I think he's committed to
Quins for the next couple of years.
And besides, can the ARU afford to pay anyone a truck load of
cash these days?

I saw an interview with Lynagh recently and he said his brother
Tom always wanted to play in Aus when they were kids and he
(Louis) didn't have the same feelings. I'm very confident he'll
stay at Quins. One very noticeable thing about our current
squad, and particularly the younger guys, is that they come
across as very decent and nice people and it wouldn't be a
surprise if loyalty to the club and their team mates features
highly in their personal values.
