Womens Squad Ins/Outs

With all the news about the Mens squad, I thought I would try
and keep up to date re the womens squad (news can be a bit more
difficult at times) and the official site is rubbish in terms of
the squad. Ive not noted down the positions as, particularly in
the forwards, they are more interchangeable with some playing
Hooker, Prop and Back Row.

Thanks for squad update honkytonk, you are right it’s not always
easy to find squad information. I would expect a few more
changes before the season starts.

I think there is a bit of a "changing of the guard" so to speak.
Mullen came in as coach, Fidlay is leaving as forwards coach. A
couple of experienced players moving on and some exciting
youngsters coming in. Mullen didnt really have a chance to make
"his squad" so to speak. A few youngsters broke through during
the season. I think you are right in that we will see a few
more moves during the summer.

I thought we had two more players on our books, who joined a few
months ago - Becky Wilson and Hannah Dennis. Or have I missed
something?

I forgot to stick them on. I was going to put them as
incomings, then thought I had put them in the squad as they
joined before the season ended, then actually never put them in
at all!!!!

Looks like they’ve kept Freya Auken after the loan spell from
Richmond. She didn’t look out of her depth on the few occasions
she played. Normally a 9 but played on the wing a couple of
times.

Yeah, I am wondering if we will replace Riley. Packer and
Aucken are two very promising young SH. Id be happy to see them
get a chance (Packer actually started some games with Riley on
the bench last season). We also have the potential of Lyons and
Caplice coming back. CDaplice was back in Ireland for most of
the season and only managed one game I think, she would be a
huge boost. Its quite difficult to pick the best side now, as
so many stepped up last season and made themselves tough to
drop.

Emma Swords incoming. SH from Sarries. Was previously at Quins
(who she joined from Sarries)

A couple more names that have slipped off my radar and may be
still around - Sheree Cooper and Victoria Petersson.

Petersson left mid season to return to Sweden. Cooper was
apparently only on loan from Richmond, I dont think she is back
full time
