I must say I doubted. I was still thinking Exeter were the the
proper team of grown-ups 10 minutes from the end. It is just a
sensational season. Who really thought this would happen? What a
fantastic group of players. I guess Kenningham will be getting a
payrise, if he's on academy money.
But even the lack of squad depth issue seemed to fade away.
Collier and Tapuai have really contributed towards the end of
the season. It really is a squad to be proud of. Tyrone Green
has turned out to be great.
I wonder what Gustard makes of it! Even Jerry Flannery was
saying, virtually up until the final, we won't beat Exeter with
a defence like ours unless it improves. But we did. Although the
defence did improve, the Hogg try at the end was one of the
worst defended restarts I've ever seen! And yet, we win! What a
story! We'll be talking about this season for a long time guys.

So pleased I started this thread now, the emotions are all over
the shop. I don't think I can find any more superlatives for the
team. Boys became men, men become gods and Marler became
something beyond omnipotent. Best feeling ever.

On cloud 9000.. Words are not enough. This result is now part
of Harlequins folklore with not only Quins winning but the
game in general getting a much needed boost after the last 2
seasons against a background of the virus and cheating budgets.
As for PG..this is the QUINS WAY to play and not his way. from
my mobile

Strictly speaking, Quins’ defence actually was better than
Exeter’s today. We leaked a lot of points; they leaked more.

I'm of an age that doesn't particularly do feelings, but I feel
wonderful! And feeling even wonderfuller cos I renewed my season
ticket! (back to stiff upper lip next season)
