According to their site they’ve still got 200 tickets not sold.
So if RFU cancel and refund tickets are they likely to also
remain unsold?
Whole thing is a joke.

> I did explore that this morning. I can currently Transfer a
ticket to somebody else in my "household bubble" using the App
but that's about it. How they could prove that the person with
the tickets was so related I don't know. As such, you could
theoretically transfer them to anyone? The T&Cs do suggest that
you can resell your ticket through the RFU, but its along the
same lines as putting your season ticket seat back into the pot
for a particular Quins game you can't make. They will look to
resell it for you but won't buy it back. Now obvious way of
doing that online so it looks like you'd have to ring the RFU
ticket line.

The only issue with this is finding someone trustworthy to send
the ticket to, i would much rather do it through legitimate
"Re-Sale" functionality which they just don't have. Ive spoken
to the missus and we are just going to go (if not cancelled)
with neutral colours and try not to piss anyone off too much
with excessive cheering! Hoping that Quins fans have bought the
whole lot so we have some company ;D

Quite right. I hope the RFU will learn from this but they never
seem to. I’m praying Quins would atleast sent out a special one
time link for supporters to BT’s showing, and offer it to
members/season ticket holders (past and present) who couldn’t
get tickets to watch it for those who haven’t got BT. But I know
that’s a massive long shot. All the pubs near me will be
blasting out some irrelevant Euros fixture no doubt instead of
the Rugby and I’m teetotal so would rather not go to a pub if I
can avoid it. Sounds like a lot of whinging I know, but a bit
fed up to be honest with the whole ticket situ
😆😪

Just sign up to BT sport for 30 days for £30 and stop moaning,
what do you want, it's a global pandemic and rugby is a
business!

They should open those 200 tickets to Quins fans as well,
they'll be gone in no time.

Ok Swindon, simmer down.. I never said I wouldn’t pay it.. I’m
just letting off some steam. Personally I would do what you
suggest but wait until the last hour incase of a miracle ticket
release (with rumours of 200 or so tickets still floating about)
or some kind gesture from Quins via link which is something
they’ve kindly done throughout the pandemic. Ofcourse I would
buy the monthly pass failing all else. Didn’t expect or mean to
irk you. Thanks and enjoy the final, hopefully some nice weather
on the weekend also 👍🏽

100%. Keeping fingers my crossed for us and others that that’s
what they’ll do mate. Makes sense if they are unsold by
tomorrow.

The fact that our link says the sale period is now over, but the
Exeter Chiefs one appears to still be available would suggest
that they do indeed still have unsold tickets, despite the
number of people who've apparently already raided them!
Also interesting is the fact that the only way they appear able
to limit sales is on the use of a West Country postcode.
Presumably this means that they haven't been able to share
purchaser data between the Chiefs and the RFU/Ticketmaster to
check for more evidence of malfeasance?
Given that the tickets are delivered 100% electronically anyway,
I wonder how many people have booked with a "home" address of
Sandy Park, Exeter, EX2 7NN? ;)

SQ - I don't have an axe to grind here as I have BT Sport and
was lucky (or persistent) enough to get tickets, but I think the
point is less about rugby being a business than the double
standards from the Government between rugby and football.
It's one of the two most important games of the English club
rugby year, and Twickenham has been restricted, at very short
notice, to an even smaller fraction of its capacity. I doubt
anyone would have an issue with that during the pandemic -
except that the same restrictions were not imposed on Wembley,
and are not being imposed on cricket.
And to make it worse, while it will be on TV most pubs won't be
showing it because football takes priority over everything and
there's no sign of a legal way for fans to sign up just for this
one really important match. You can understand why people -
particularly those who planned to attend but couldn't get
tickets - are put out about it.
