All of this of course could have been so easily
avoided..........news just out -

The ECB also announced yesterday that the England cricket games
at the end of June would have increased capacities...

Incredible short sightedness of RFU and Government, Football
and ECB got it together, complete fiasco. Who wasn’t doing their
job I wonder?

That seems to have been the case with Wimbledon - at least I'm
hoping that will be the case. Have pretty much resigned myself
to the fact that at some point an email will arrive and the
tickets will be cancelled.

I mean i am coming at this from the standpoint that i probably
would re-sell my ticket if i could through official channels. I
got forwarded the link on whatsapp and panic bought a couple
before even realising that the fans would be segregated at the
final. I dont particularly want to sit with Exeter fans and feel
slightly bad that i have taken the chance off one of their fans
attending. However i didnt have to go through any sort of
verification to buy the tickets so thouht it was all legit. The
only reason i spotted it was when i received the email saying
"Premiership Final - Exeter Chiefs" and thinking it was odd that
they didnt include quins in the name of the event!!!

I don’t feel the fans can be blamed, you’re right, there was no
verification.
I wonder how many STH’s like myself couldn’t get any of our
allocation as links more than likely forwarded to non STH’s,
nothing to stop them, wouldn’t it have been more prudent to ask
for the season ticket holder’s number and at least make applying
tighter? I guess that would be too easy.

I did explore that this morning. I can currently Transfer a
ticket to somebody else in my "household bubble" using the App
but that's about it. How they could prove that the person with
the tickets was so related I don't know. As such, you could
theoretically transfer them to anyone? The T&Cs do suggest that
you can resell your ticket through the RFU, but its along the
same lines as putting your season ticket seat back into the pot
for a particular Quins game you can't make. They will look to
resell it for you but won't buy it back. Now obvious way of
doing that online so it looks like you'd have to ring the RFU
ticket line.
