I was in the club shop this morning and they had quite a few
home shirts in all sizes and on sale at £35. The shop had stocks
of the away shirt and 3rd shirt, again all on sale.

The size guide is misleading; makers of quality shirts realise
that a good fit (in a leisure shirt, as opposed to a playing
shirt) needs 10cms "extra" to make a comfortable and reasonably
loose fit, where as the current Quins cotton leisure shirts are
cut to the same dimensions as playing shirts - I compared the
size of three "4XL" shirts, one from Quins, one from Cotton
traders and one from Ellis Rugby and the Quins shirt was much
smaller.
The current shirts are average quality, expensive and too small.
Can't wait for a new supplier or a change to the design/fit by
the present supplier. Ellis Rugby shirts are far superior and
only ~5% more expensive: I wish they made a retro Quins shirt!
Note to Shop/Management strip committee ( [emoji33] ): look at
Ellis website and see what you should be supplying!

Premiership competition regulations require teams to have two
distinct shirts, and the league decides who wears which.
Though I am not sure what the punishment would be if we turned
up in quarters instead of the magenta and white.
I am not sure what they would say if we offered two sets of
quarters, one with the colours shading to dark as now and an
away shirt where they faded to white. As a variation on the
quarters I like the current shirt, though I would prefer a
classic design - but commerce demands variation.
BTW, if anyone has time the wikipedia page is out of date, as it
still lists the green and block shirt.

I seem to recall when our away shirt was quartered, just with
two of the quarters as white rather than their usual colours. I
may even still have the cotton version of that shirt somewhere
at home...

If I was Mr Ellis, there would be a Vintage Quins shirt!
