Away Shirt for the Prem Final

According to Lovell Rugby, Harlequins have confirmed that we
will be wearing the away shirt for the final against Exeter.
A bit miffed as our home shirt doesn’t clash with Exeter’s, and
normally in the Prem Final both teams are allowed to wear their
home kit unless of a clash, as it’s a mutual venue. I can only
put it down to Adidas/Harlequins trying to push more sales of
the away shirt and sell a lot more. As I believe the two most
popular shirts in sales have been the home and the third (ocean
       parley) shirt.
Not a problem I know and it might come across as a bit moany to
some, but just feel like we should wear our home shirt,
especially seeing as there’s no clash and it’s who we are with
our traditional colours. It’s a shame in my view, by rights
getting to the final should merit you wearing your home kit (if
       no clash).
Again, maybe it’s nothing to most but it just feels like they’re
trying to push sales of the away shirt for me instead of wearing
the colours true to us. What do we reckon?

Another reason why it’s clear is obvious on the club shop,
they’ve sold out of the home shirt in all sizes online on Quins
Shop/Lovell, most of the Third kit is sold out and they can’t
seem to give away the Away kit... speaks for itself when you put
two and two together. Can’t blame them for wanting to get rid of
them and make money, but Harlequins as a club should be making
our team feel as at home as possible at the big final against
Exeter at HQ, stick them in the home shirt for crying out loud

I agree 100% with your sentiment, we should most definitely wear
the home shirt for the final.
I am not so sure about the reasons why we should not wear the
quarters, I have never purchased an away shirt, and likely, I
never will, so if the team wore away shirt on Saturday, I would
not buy one. On a side note, I would rather stick pins into my
eyeballs than be seen wearing the hideous lime green strip of
last season, thank goodness that is history.

Women won the final in their away shirt, men won the semi in the
away shirt. maybe there is superstition. Id be surprised if
the reason is just to clear some stock tbh!!!

Exactly, I won’t be buying one either. It’s a cleaver but
obvious trick in getting people to buy one, for example if we
did manage to win the final, people would automatically buy it
in their view. If we win in it ofcourse that means people will
want it. They know that and that’s why they’ve chosen it. It’s
things like this that disappoint me, I understand completely
that we as a club need all the money/sales we can make/get, but
it’s the final. I get that it’s been a lucky shirt in terms of
the incredible Harlequins Womens winning their league in it and
our men’s recent Semi-Final victory against Bristol, but surely
the goal for the final is to make our team comfortable as
possible and stick them in the home shirt. It might sound silly
to some but half of sports is mentality and playing in a home
shirt I imagine would help. Bonkers to me

How do we know the players did not ask to wear the away shirt??.
Lots of assumptions being made tbh

Are we sure that normally both teams are allowed to wear their
