At this point, it’s about heart. A win is highly unlikely so
we’re really playing for pride.

Shame lynagh couldn't finish his try. Would be just about in
with a very slim chance. Damage limitation second half, and try
to do ourselves justice. Last 5-10 minutes a bit better. Didn't
expect to win but it's disappointing that we made it do easy for
them.

What is going on at the breakdown? From our perch in the corner
of the stands it looks like Bristol are getting away with a heck
of a lot of hands on the floor and side entry, but Quins can't
do anything right in Barnes's eyes.

Need a couple of cards for them to keep this respectable...

No one gave Quins much hope of reaching the playoffs after the
terrible start to the season, finishing 4th is certainly a big
step up from the previous seasons.
The incoming head coach certainly has a very good group of
players to work with for that next step up. With a few key
additions on the playing staff and a defence coach Quins could
be even better next season.

I’d like to see Chisholm for the second half. Lawday’s not
justifying his selection and we need Chisholm’s aggression and
fight.

The pressure has got to them. Too many errors and stupid pens.
At 16-0 down they needed to pause and re-set. We seem to lack
the on field smarts to change it up. That's the most
disappointing thing.
Kenningham and Lynagh are the only ones who come out of that
half with any credit.
Fair play to Bristol. They've been clinical.
Need to up our numbers at the breakdown and slow their ball
down, and kick them to turn. Ask some questions of them.

Don't think that's coming across on TV. What I can see is our
players getting double tackled (often because they try to
exploit a gap that doesn't really exist between two players) and
putting us under a lot of pressure as a result.
The only occasion I can think of with a possible not supporting
body weight was Earl's turnover, which Barnes may have given
against us a couple of weeks ago, but would be borderline under
most refs.

There's a lack of physicality too..their players are making
really easy yards with every carry. Pace and power on each
carry. Ours carriers are often drifting into contact rather than
thundering into it. Same goes with defence

Barnes has been very harsh on us a few times and very lenient to
Bristol, but frankly it looked like we were going through the
motions from the start. No manic aggression, no busting a gut to
chase and harry, very little fight in the team. Deservedly
getting a shellacking at the moment.
