I reckon the coaches will have considered that (I too would
probably have assumed the same). They must have their reasons,
other than sentimentality that Lynagh has performed well
recently.

Would have started Northmore and moved Marchant to Wing with
Lynagh on the bench and possibly started Chisholm, no real
complaints though and expect them both to come on early in the
second half especially if we are chasing the game. Considering
all the injuries and suspensions that's a decent side but fully
expect Bristol to raise their game looking at their team.

We should have enough to see that lot off

I would like to think that Joe will have a few words of
encouragement for Kyle, that could get very interesting.

The Marchant versus Northmore at 13 decision may be mostly due
to experience, up against Radradra.

I reckon Taps and Marchant is comfortably the best centre
pairing we have now that Andre is out. They usually work very
well together and are defensively sound.

A really great team. A shame that Murley is unable to play or
has been left out. I suppose Lang gives a bit more variety in
his cover. Anyway, we are going to give it our very best shot
and not 'die wondering' as I think Danny said on the BBC pod.
We have real strength, skill and pace throughout the side. All
the boys are playing with confidence and playing as a team. Our
attack is electric. The excitement in the camp must be
brilliant. There are leaders throughout the line up who will
step up and show their character. It is going to be incredibly
exciting!
I hope we don't just be pleased with how far we have come but
are inspired by how far we can go.
I am laying out my kit now ready for the journey! My boys are
doing the same! Come on you Quins!!!!

Lang's probably on the bench as they'll want to bring Marcus off
after 40 minutes and save him for the final.

That is a good enough team to win. Kenningham has done really
well taking over for Will Evans, Taps will do a proper job at 12
in place of Andre and Tyrone looks class at 15 in place of
Browny. So although it is a shame those 3 starters are missing
out for unfortunate reasons, perhaps they will fire the team
from the sidelines? The weather is forecast to be dry and
cooler, conditions which I think will suit our match squad.
I'm thinking back to our semi-final v Saints when we were 8 or 9
points down with 15 mins to play. The Quins pack start to turn
up the pressure. Boom! Nev kicks over a penalty. We need a
converted try to win. We are sitting in the South stand and Nev
has just kicked another penalty to the Saints 22m line. The pack
begins to rumble with Minty having taken the lineout ball. The
crowd in the South Stand are going bananas. The next thing we
know, Joe is winking at the camera!
It's all about how teams perform on the day.....
COYQ!!!!

Hah! I remember that moment so well. My then 4 year old daughter
had gone to the ladies on her own and not returned, so I was
talking to a steward at the north east corner of the ground to
see if they could put a call out for her.
I was describing her to him as the maul was taking shape -
"She's about so high and wearing a Quins shirt and - COME ON YOU
QUINS! - blue - YESSS! - trousers" At which point, with
impeccable timing, she appeared and asked me what I was doing.
