I kind of think ‘why?’. Or at least ‘why now?’. As good as he is
(and I do rate him), I don’t really think he’d add that much to
the England squad. He’s a bit one-dimensional and I think
there’s a plethora of more promising back row options to pick
from.

QC, we've seen players take full blooded punches to the jaw and
not be put on the floor. It snapped his head back - it wasn't a
light tap. Deserved a red and deserved the ban it got. I hope
Andre can cut that stuff out as two bans in one season for
pointless thuggery helps no one.

Agree. Back in the day he had a bit more pace but he's just a
tractor now. A very effective but extremely one dimensional
player.

I'd guess the reason now is Billy V isnt the force he was and
there are not many other big lumps to come in. I think those 3
(ewers, simmonds curry) would work well together.

He certainly needs to talk to one of Joe or Mike's anger
management coaches. He could be a great player for us if he
could just cut out the impulse to use his arms off the ball.

I don't think Eddie's that interested in Simmonds - but he
definitely would like the one dimensional "odd upbringing" bosh
merchant. Even if he is in his 30s. Ahhh Eddie...
