If one did want to bite through ones tongue I would recommend
trying to do a fancy side step (poorly) and getting caught in
the tackle so your right knee is lifted into the bottom of your
own jaw as your get smashed backwards whilst evidently sticking
out your tongue as you are blowing due to lack of match fitness.
As for the monster who cleared my out, i don't think he liked me
and was not friendly as that really really hurt. :)

Anything that keeps the ball in play gets my interest. I think
if they do monitor it well and link it to coaching guidance it
should lead to more ball in play and more enjoyment for the
younger age groups. In my experience all the kids enjoy running
with the ball it may even help in getting the selfish to pass.
This is the hardest part of creating an effective youth team,
not meet any kid who thinks they're quick that will pass the
ball willingly. This change could show most kids the
effectiveness of drawing players and passing for the player in
space. However, the best change RFU could make is at the highest
level, stop scrum halves feeding between props legs! If they
won't do that take two out the scrum and just play RL!

The article claims that this will reduce the number of rucks. I
don't understand how?
Mauls yes, but surely more low tackling = more ball carriers
going to deck = more rucks???
Or are they thinking players in age grade and lower level rugby
all have a secret stunning offload they've just not been able to
showcase because of high tackling technique?

It's there, if you read it...
--- Quote from: Charlie Morgan link ---
> Having monitored the progress of a similar trial in France,
the RFU expect there to be fewer rucks and more opportunities
for passes out of contact.....“[The laws] are viewed positively
by players, coaches and referees and from the video examples
provided appeared to show a change in the shape of the game,
with fewer rucks and more offloads.”

Kids can offload! They just don't have the arm strength to do so
while being tackled above the waist, usually.
