Apparently Ealings ground has failed the criteria, and even if
they win they will not be going up!!!

If Ealing were to win then Sarries shouldn't be promoted either.
Leave the Premiership with 12 teams.

The oracle that is Twitter......(I know, I know) A Rugby
Journalist named Jon Newcombe, and then repeated by a few more
accounts. He is saying they have failed to meet the ground
criteria, but will appeal and are confident of the appeal

It's a little more complicated. Their current ground would/has
failed to meet the criteria as expected. They had hoped to used
Loftus Road but couldn't sort out a deal. However they have a
deal in place in principle but want some details from the RFU
who haven't been forthcoming. It could be another case similar
to the London Welsh/Kassam stadium situation from a fre seasons
back. Here's more details LINK

I read that it was a compromise to keep Sarries from taking
legal action over not being awarded points for the cancelled
Covid game when they didn't cause it.

We really need to get over moaning about Sarries cheating and
instead focus on how we're getting scammed by the fact that we
have the same salary cap as teams like Leicester or Newcastle
despite the huge difference in cost of living between the
locations.

I don't think a 'London weighting' for the salary cap is
realistic. There's a reasonable argument that overseas players
would be more attracted to move in/close to London.

Which is why those teams have better squads and performances
than us
Eh? Oh.
