Apparently, the West Country is as cheap as chips and one of the
reasons why Bristol/Bath/Exeter can afford better players (or
not)...
Mind you Newcastle and Worcester are also cheap as chips...

If you look back at my posts on the salary cap, I did include
Bath/Bristol as a second tier, being more expensive than the
Midlands and North, but those parking prices are just rampant
profiteering!
My parents and in-laws live down that way, as do plenty of other
family members, so I'm down there frequently. General cost of
living is a good 20% cheaper down there unless you spend your
whole like trying to park at Ashton Gate on match days.

Don’t worry, Kermit - I wasn’t referring to you. I’m from Dorset
- I know pretty well the lay of the land in the Mild West.
It would be interesting to compare salaries of all clubs to see
whether there is a difference in remuneration, but I’d suggest
that anyone on a Premiership contract will be be able to live
pretty well, wherever they are playing. I have a son who played
rugby with former young Premiership player and he is a good
source of info on what goes on…

With regard to the need for a Co-Vid test, the following message
is on the Bears website;
All attending supporters should take a COVID lateral flow test,
available for free from your local pharmacy or doctors, on the
morning of the game and be prepared to show this result on
arrival at the ground, either via timed and dated photograph or
by registering the result on the NHS website here.
For clarification, I have checked with their ticketing office
and they have confirmed that this is a request only.
