Guys, please stop reading Ruck.com.
Look at this article from 2 weeks ago
HTML https://www.ruck.co.uk/he-had-no-game-management-matt-dawsons-harsh-criticism-of-jonny-wilkinson/
Then look at the article it's actually based on. 11 years old.
Below that we have
"2003 Rugby World Cup final WAGS special"
Sheesh.
The website is total dross.
Much like the 37-year-old Parisse

From ruck not that I'm defending them
"Round-up of rugby transfer rumours. All the latest speculation
linking players with moves. Please remember these are internet
rumours, gathered in one place for your convenience, not RUCK
stories"

I don't think Parisse is dross. He's absurdly talented and an
absolute unit; he's probably half the player he used to be but
he'd make for a very useful option either at 6 or as backup at
8. For the right price he'd bring a shedload of experience and a
lot of skill. Not pretending he doesn't have flaws in his game,
but even just as a heavy carrier he'd be a real boon to the
squad.

we need at least one good replacement. I think Evans and
Kenningham we are OK for 7, but im not 100% convinced Lawday
will ever press a claim to start and be a selection headache, so
Sergio and potentially another up and coming 6 (as also in my
view its not Archie White who i would move on) would be good
business.

I dont know, Dombrant had a killer game against bath so If we
see more performances like that at No8 we should keep him there,
Im not sure though just my thoughts. Good signing if we get him
though.

Signing Parisse is hardly looking to the future, though, is it?
Surely (wonderful player though he was) we need to be building
over multiple seasons rather than chopping and changing key
players each season.

Looking at the bigger picture, I think it could make sense. We
are linked to Matera for the season after next. Sign Parisse
this season on a one year deal, then Matera joins s the year
after.

I imagine that the signing of Parise, would help benefit
Domborant mainly. He will provide competition in training and
can pass on his immense knowledge to Dommers and the younger
back row players.
We lack any real experience in the back row, so I can see it
being a decent, if not earth-shattering signing.
I guess, a few of the South African monster back rows will
become available next year, once the Lions is over. So I can see
PSTD or someone like him coming over.

I can't imagine a rumour about "the season after next" is one we
should put too much faith in, honestly.

Dont see why not, he has a 1 year deal for the 2022 season, and
then was looking to come back to Europe. If he knows that is the
case, why not have wheels set in motion. Its only a year away

Because a lot can happen in a year, and if he's not been signed
then it's pretty worthless - if he goes really well in Soup
he'll end up at a big money club!
