This popped up on ruck.co.uk:-
COURTING: Reports in France suggest Sergio Parisse has emerged
as a shock transfer target for Harlequins with a one-year
contract reportedly on the table. The legendary Italy No.8 is
set to be out of contract with Toulon next month.
Are we envisaging that dommers will be away more?

If he's up for putting in 100% for a full season then I think
he'd be a great signing - he's clearly got fantastic leadership
qualities and would be a great player to have some of our
younger players to learn from.

He's also similar in playing style to Dommers, so we wouldn't be
too disrupted if the latter gets called up by England.

I think this is more about Chisholm? Perhaps his run of recent
injuries is more than it seems?

I think Dombrandt at 6 and Sergio 8 would give us some serious
carrying, and with Evans still has a good balance.
Considering we never replaced Bothma or Kunatani in any case we
need at least one good replacement. I think Evans and Kenningham
we are OK for 7, but im not 100% convinced Lawday will ever
press a claim to start and be a selection headache, so Sergio
and potentially another up and coming 6 (as also in my view its
not Archie White who i would move on) would be good business.

Am I completely wrong or has Parisse not spent a bit of time
playing 6 and lock in the last year or two?
Not sure we ever needed to replace Bothma, he was Not Good (tm).

I don't want Parisse. He is past his best that was obvious in
his last year with Racing 92. Also how much would his wages be?
If marque player I'm sure we can spend that on someone younger
and in their prime.

Well with Symons and Lewies both being injured during the season
and Baby Chis then it does look like a sensible move for a
season whilst Lamb, White & Tizard get more experience.

Kenningham has been a surprisingly effective carrier in what
little we've seen of him - not big yards, but running into big
men and creating front foot ball, much like the man we hope he
will grow to replace. And his goal line carrying has produced 4
tries in 8 or 9 games.
