That wretched Company Stonewall is involved. This is a company
who has just announced that you should not call people Mother or
Father but a parent instead as it is insulting to that person. I
am afraid I have no time for this type of jibberish and Quins as
a family friendly club should not in my opinion either.
Sometimes I feel I cannot open my mouth for fear of being
politically incorrect. I am a mother and Grandmother and proud
of it! How on earth can our kids and grandkids cope with this.

Stonewall didn't say you shouldn't call people Mother or Father.
They suggested that in the workplace, it's a good idea to to
avoid gendered language in policies. You can agree or disagree
with that, but it's not that different to schools using "parent
or guardian" like they've done for decades as not all kids have
a mother and father, etc.
Personally I think it was a bit of an own goal, but it's
definitely not STONEWALL WANTS TO BAN MOTHERS as the usual rags
have angled it. Stonewall itself is under sustained attack for
their support of Trans people so I am deeply suspicious of the
current media coverage.
Your kids and your grandkids will cope with this a lot better
than you do, don't worry!

A short history of the word "woke" (in this context):
Big Bang to Early 2020 - broadly unknown
A few months in 2020 - used to mean awareness of race issues
Late 2020 to the heat death of the universe - co-opted as a
Littlejohn word for those who aren't happy that they already
have "politically correct"
Poor "woke". It never stood a chance.

Do you believe the players are trying to usher in a new age of
no one being able to say anything bad and a new marxist
government?
Or do you think they are just trying to show they are tied of
being racially profiled and abused. (Or supporting their
friends/team mates who are.)
