On Evans/Kenningham - I think Evans' workrate matches
Kenningham's. He's pretty relentless! The difference between
them at the moment is the breakdown, where Evans is virtually
peerless, and in carrying where Kenningham is very, very
effective already. Plus Evans is a little bit faster, for what
       that matters.
Against Briz I think nicking their ball + slowing their attacks
is crucial, so I'd still go for Evans.

Slightly controversial and maybe unpopular view: Chis is a bit
of a dumb penalty magnet. Discipline will be key in the semi and
final, can we afford him to give away so many

I'd normally prefer to see Steele on the bench ahead of landajo,
but given their respective game time recently I think it needs
       to be landajo.
Lang on bench. Northmore too, so means murley probably misses
out unless he starts instead of lynagh.

Murley is a better defender (and stockier/stronger) - I'd make
him start instead of Lynagh, otherwise spot on, T-bone...

       For me:
       15- Green
14- Murley (if fit, if not then Lynagh)
       13- Marchant
       12- Northmore
       11- Morris
       10- Smith
       9- Care
       8- Dombrandt
       7- Kenningham
       6- Chisholm
       5- Symons
       4- Lewies
       3- Louw
       2- Baldwin
       1- Marler
Hopefully we'll defend better than we have this week but if we
want to score (plenty of) tries we need Northmore on the pitch
as his timing in hitting gaps is exceptional, from 12 or 13.
Though he needs to sharpen up his decision making once the break
is made. Marchant has to play 13, not wing. He's far better
defensively there and we need that in a semi final. Murley, if
fit, edges Lynagh... Lynagh no slouch but Murley has raw pace
and power and will finish 50/50s. If Chisholm's fit, his
abrasiveness will come in handy, otherwise I'd do like an above
poster mentioned and go with Wallace/Kenningham on the flanks,
though that does ask a lot of our front five + Dombrandt to do
       more of the heavy stuff.
Discipline will be really key. If we give them penalties within
60m of our line, they'll pop it in the corner all day and we're
not the best at defending 5m lineouts and subsequent mauls.
Excited to see what we can do though. If we make it, a fit a
raring to go Esterhuizen in a final is an interesting prospect!

suspect in defence in open play and we still blow hot and cold
on maul defence in our own 22 but we just need to focus on what
we do well and let them worry about us outscoring them.

at the tries we've scored in the last 6 weeks and asked the

etc and the answer is yes because the quality and support play
       has been so good.

This is exactly right. we have no chance whatsoever if we try
and take on the top 3 playing a safety game. We are going to
leak points however we play, we just need to make peace with
that, chuck the ball about, and score more than them.

       Louw
       Symons
       Lewies (c)
       Chisholm
       Kenningham

Not sure the pack is even up for debate.
       Backs I'd go
       Care
       Smith
       Lynagh
       Taps
       Marchant
       Murley
       Green
Those two wingers are comfortably ahead of Morris and Earle for
       me.
Northmore is superb but we need a 12 in the defensive line.

For me Taps has to start at 12 with Northmore coming off the
bench. Does the basics well and is a strong tackler which we’ll
       need against the Bristol midfield.

Our defence this week was the first time since we lost WEv and
Andre that we've kept the scoreline to within our season
average. I was encouraged, and I think having Taps in the
centres was key to that - I think he's better suited at 12 than
any of our other available centres, and adds a point of
stability and experience in what is (Care apart) a very young
backline. Northmore goes to the bench for me, and gives us a
real game changing option from there.
If Murley is fully fit, I'd be happy to see him start ahead of
Lynagh. Lynagh is exciting going forward but Murley has the sort
of rugby intelligence that Tom Williams and Mike Brown
displayed, and we are likely to need that.
Wallace / Kenningham could be interesting in what's likely to be
an open game - though with Luatua and Hughes to face off
against, we might want a bit of carrying ballast. That said,
Louw has been making his presence felt in attack a bit more
recently, so it's possible he could fill that role.
