ironic that we’re talking of Leicester being cheated against!

This.
Leicester were/are the bench mark for getting an advantage or
slowing the game down....

Bristol clearly tried to claim that Afoa was injured when he
wasn't, and gained some advantage from doing so by giving their
beasted pack a few minutes rest. Had they continued to claim he
was injured and the game had gone to unconstested scrums, the
cheating would've been worse - as it was, it's more like extreme
gamesmanship.
Anyway, very funny ending and I thoroughly enjoyed it

There's a funny irony in seeing ex-Salarycen Wigglesworth so
unhappy at the end through another team bending the rules to win
a game. What goes around etc

I'm not sure about any of it really. The sub was down as
tactical so by the letter of the law Afoa has to come back on,
and borthwick seemed happy with that. Then Lam comes out and
says Afoa is injured so shouldn't go back on, gets informed that
a player will need to still come off and go down to 13 (also
uncontested scrums have to have 8 men meaning that Leicester
would have had 7 Vs 5 in the back line). From what I have seen
(admittedly from only two quick run throughs) Lam agrees to that
but the ref persists that it is down to the team manager and
what was written down as tactical so Afoa must come back on.
Only at this point does Borthwick get angry because he has then
realised the massive advantage they would have got if Afoa
couldn't come back on.
In my opinion Lam very nearly lost Bristol the game through
trying to keep Afoa off the pitch and the team manager saved
them by putting it down as tactical.
Anyway that is just my view.

And they would've still probably butchered it... the fearsome
Leicester pack is back under Borthwick, but they look awful as
soon as they try and put any width on the ball. They blew an
easy overlap not long before with a basic passing error from
Steward.
My impression was that Borthwick and Co definitely wanted
another scrum and wanted Afoa back on as they'd been so on top
in the scrum during the second half

My take is that Pat Lam doesn't know the rules and showed a
petulant side with his "If he gets injured its on you" comment
to the ref, while Steve Borthwick is boorish and shares with
Stuart Hooper the belief that the scrum is the game to such a
degree that he forgets to win the game. Neither are great
looks.

Tom Youngs' comments to the ref at 8 minutes on aren't
particularly edifying.

What I liked was Tigers made the current top of the table look
average, we took them apart up front and had we managed the last
quarter better could well have won. Pat Lam has some serious
work to do if he thinks that side can win the Premiership.

No, they haven't been cheating for six years!

driving straight and the tigers one running round. Should've
been a Bristol penalty regardless of what Uren then did.

The whole thing was hugely funny especially when Afoa seemed to
say "sod all this arguing I'll just go and stick Genge's head up
his backside and we can all go home".
