I don’t think he’s the player he was pre-injury, but he’s still
considerably better than White and has looked decent in his
appearances for Tigers.
He’s not been signed as a first choice and is exactly the kind
of back row player we needed from a depth POV.
Even if he’s not at his previous level, he’s still an
experienced pro that will help Kenningham’s development too.

Great news, especially if he gets back to the level of his best
days.

Take it for what it is. An opportunistic and potentially smart
piece of business which suits our circumstances. He comes in as
third choice 7 and if he gets back to anywhere near his best,
he'll be a decent acquisition. If he doesn't, then no real loss.
The alternative is bring in a quality back up 7 who potentially
blocks Kenningham's development.
A signing which makes sense and suits all parties.

On RossPod WEV said he didn’t expect to be back for the start of
next season so seems good business to me for cover early next
season

I hope, with another season under his belt at Tigers, that he
has got his confidence and form back. As has been mentioned he
was excellent over the ball getting turnovers. Don’t forget the
breakdown laws are not the same as when Luke was at his best
before dislocating his hip. I’m sure we wouldn’t have had him
back if he wasn’t up to it.
It’s funny how the usual suspects can’t wait to lay
into perfectly good players.

What do you think wing forward means?

How did his brother's injuries affect him?

Think great re-signing. Will be far cheaper than when he left.
Has shown throughout his career a huge determination to be fit,
healthy and competitive. Seemed to be really popular with others
in the club and will be a great role model. Like big Chisholm
you want and need a few of these guys around the squad that will
help the youngsters, promote the club, add to training and be
solid when called upon. Back row is not an area I think we were
likely to go big in as Dommers, Evans and Chis are now the
number 1’s. If I was one of them I would be annoyed if they
signed a big name that would kick me to the bench!

And should never let him go in the first place

Probably because he's a human and his brother having a
life-altering injury had an impact on him. Poor bloke had to
have his leg amputated.
