Really enjoyed watching him play in earlier seasons.
If I remember correctly, he wasn't on top form in his last
season or so. No idea why, but ISTR comments on here about him
popping-up on the wing all the time - though of course that may
have been what we was told to do.

Im not so sure. Of course, nice bloke etc but is he anywhere
near the player he was. Cant say I have seen much of him. Had
a decent game for Tigers last time I saw him (cant remember who
against).

100% this. I’m really pleased.
Even if some of it is sentimentality, he’s exactly the type of
player we need.
I can see it now ... we make the final and Luke scores the
winning try (out wide obviously) ...

Great news. He was a real asset to the team. Does immediate

Don’t think Wallace fitted in with how Borthwick is setting up
Leicester’s forward pack. They already have a similar player in
Reffell who looks very impressive and have another big SA
flanker coming next season in van Staden. We needed more depth
at 7 with Evans out for a while so I’m relatively happy with
this.

Nice to see him back he’ll fill a sub spot at best most of the
time but a ha day weapon to have and bleeds Quins.
