Fair enough Jammy, it might have seemed less critical if you had
also given him a bit of credit like you just have.

Apols, thought it was clear that I was trying to provide some
balance to the thread - which seemed to ignore the problems I
thought were fairly obvious :)

I wasn’t massively convinced, certainly from the first half.
However, he is the best option we have and I’d still back him
over Morris or Chisholm if it was a pick between the 3.
Defensively it’s hard to step into Browns shoes, and I’m sure
teams are going to probe him in the weeks to come, but it will
be a good test to see if we do have a genuine 15 option, as when
David joins it will be good to have two players who are very
competent in the position, rather than a huge gulf between the
regular starter and his replacement should he get injured, which
we’ve basically had in the team since Gavin Duffy left.

I haven't seen much of David but his attacking stats are
ridiculously promising.

I think Lynagh might be the best long term solution at 15. He
looks a really intelligent player.
Next season will be interesting as I understand Green, David and
Lynagh would all rather play FB than wing given the choice.

That's actually why I don't quite understand why Green would
rather play FB if he's only started there 3 times in his career!

Maybe thats why he joined us, the chance to play FB, or maybe he
can see we are stocked at centre, or maybe he has no choice!!!
