What? Oh for heaven's sake. Pathetic!
And as for Swing Low - isn't that a protest song? They're not
exactly glorifying the concept of slavery are they? Somebody
get a grip.

oh dear!! i honestly do wonder how long it will be before we are
all walking past a very forlorn group of England Rugby fans
outside of the glorious lion encrusted gates of the "Big Stoop"
crying into their beers, who have been refused entry due to
being adorned with the attire associated with a fully fledged
and signed up member of the "Knights Templar"? a glorious site
to behold on any match day and a great bunch of fellas as well!
could it come to that? to what extremes does all this
potentially go to? I fully understand that things need to be
addressed in the world in which we live, but I honestly think
that some carry a higher degree of importance, priority and
necessity than others.

Seems pretty snowflakey to me to be this wound up by a name
change of a team that hasn't existed for 5 years.
Edit: They only named them the Saxons in 2006! It's hardly some
great heritage being lost.

England used to be known as Engla land, meaning the land of the
Angles, people from continental Germany, who began to invade
Britain in the late 5th century, along with the Saxons and Jute.
On this basis we need to also change the name England to
something more diverse. Suggestions please.

minority groups than when the Saxons name started being used in
2006."
Like many I'd have no problem with 15 or 23 from "black or
minority groups" selected for England and do not in the words of
Andy Cosslett and his 'ilk need "educating", especially when it
comes to racism, having joined protest marches against the
National Front & BNP in the '80s
It just makes you wonder what's coming next.
