So slow was the worst scrum we have ever had at the club and I知
not sure of the link here . Brown has been the best ever full
back we have ever had but those on here trying every excuse
going to defend what he did is bonkers

Why is it bonkers? There's no denying that his foot made contact
with Taylor's face, but there are good reasons to believe it
wasn't intentional.
For one thing, it's completely out of character: this is a guy
who's played 400 and some professional rugby matches and never
been red carded, and for all his reputation has been
exceptionally disciplined over a 15 year career. It seems less
likely that he suddenly lost it half a dozen games from the end
of his Quins career than that there's some other factor in play.
The incident looked bad in slow mo from the reverse angle - it
looked a lot less clear cut from the front angle that was only
shown briefly.
We'll find out soon enough whether the citing commission agrees.

I don't think people are trying every "excuse" to defend MB.
From the two angles shown on TV, it is not conclusive that he
stamped on Taylor intentionally, nor conclusive that he didn't.
It's not really a question of defending what he did, is an
opinion on whether what he did was an intentional stamp (in
which case, it's indefensible, even if he lifted his foot
immediately), or not an intentional stamp.
If it's not an intentional stamp, it's either a reckless and
careless, or an accidental contact caused by losing balance as
he tried to extricate himself from Taylor - and losing balance
can cause you to put your foot down rapidly as he did. I'm still
not sure what I think, but I don't think anyone on here would
defend him if it was clearly and unarguably an intentional
stamp.

I would guess a guilty plea is the only option, it is clear that
boot made contact with head that makes a minimum charge for
reckless, 6 weeks entry, good character etc 3 weeks.
If the committee deem it intentional it hits 12 weeks down to 6.
I guess the biggest point they look at will be the angel the leg
went back at, and he looked a bit before. For me it would be
harsh for intentional, seemed a little 6 of 1 half a dozen of
the other with a misplaced boot to head.

I am not saying that he did it voluntarily or not, since here he
was judged by the keyboard judges.
I only know that MB will have a difficult character at times,
(sometimes he was called MR Hungry), but he is certainly not a
player bad.
It sucks to read delinquent etc ... about a man who has worn
this shirt 350 times and that of the national team 72 times,
without ever taking a red card.
I hope that the suspension is slight (although it will hardly
happen) and that we can see him once again wearing his # 15
shirt.
I still find it hard to think about the team without BM in the
next few years.

He can plead guilty, that was a nonsense from the commentators.
He can plead guilty to a reckless red card offence without
saying he wanted to do it intentionally.

The link was the abuse which is So'oialo's case was racist. I
have never had any time for you and your opinions ever since.

All anyone else can do is draw conclusions from replaying the
incident and noting his previous conduct. I don't think Brown
would be considered a 'dirty' player and the fact that this was
his first ever red in a long and illustrious career would
