You don’t seem to be standing by it... it seems like you’ve
       deleted it.

Personally, I’m disappointed ... very disappointed that Mike
Brown’s career will have such an ignominious end and even more
disappointed that some might see this as me partially agreeing
       with Wirralquin ...
I’ve watched it about 15 times now and the realist in me can’t
see how it was completely accidental. He knew Taylor was there
and even with the kindest possible interpretation and Mike
really was off balance, he still could have tried a lot harder
not to tread on his head.

Definitely a red as he's responsible for where he puts his feet,
but reckless rather than deliberate in my mind. For the
following reasons, I'm prepared to give MB the benefit of the
       doubt:
       1. MB seems to tread on Taylor rather than a forceful downward
       stamp
       2. I didn't see any previous niggle during the game so am ruling
       out retaliation on MB's part
       3. The reaction of the Wasps players. None of them seemed
outraged, which you'd expect if they genuinely thought it was an
intentional stamp to the head of a team mate
       4. Its MB's first ever red card
Appreciate none of the above is conclusive that it was
accidental, but equally I'm not convinced it was deliberate.
"Angry Mike" is a tough player but stamping a prone player in
the face on purpose? That would be cowardice of the highest
order and it only takes a stray stud to the eye to cause serious
damage. For me, its quite a leap to conclude he went out to
       cause intentional harm.

The very FACT that this is the first (therefore only) red card
that MB has received in a long career should tell you something
about his character. I saw it as a case of losing balance, and
as we all know, you tend to put your hands and feet anywhere. I
could see no sign of a deliberate stamp whatsoever.
TMO input is getting ridiculous, yesterday at Franklin’s
Gardens, there was a clear elbow to the face of a try scorer,
resulting in a mass handbag session. End result? One player from
either team gets a yellow card, for running in from a distance
to intervene original thug escapes without punishment. In
another incident at Kingston Park, a stand in referee was dead
set on giving a red card for an unavoidable totally innocent
contact with an opponent, fortunately a more experienced TMO
talked him out of it and ended up as a yellow card.
Not long now before the game is a non contact sport, and no I do
not support the big hit brigade, dirty play must be punished,
but every player knows it is a physical game, so must be
       prepared to take a knock.
