It'll be interesting to see if there is any Quins involvement in
the Lions!
When do the Boks announce their squad?

What an utterly ghastly set of selections. But gatland has
ruined the lions for me to the extent that I don't even care any
more.
I honestly don't think anybody should be allowed more than one
tour again.

I completely agree Rodney, I wish I could be more like you on
the not caring about it. I promised I wouldn't but when I saw
some of the picks, the old me kicked in.
Yes no 2nd terms if you are an international coach and a proper
ranking system for selection, as per the Ryde Cup.

My objection to Gatland getting it again is that he has nothing
to do with NH rugby any more. He disappeared back to NZ and is
the Chiefs coach. That should've meant him being out of the
running. As it is, an extraordinarily lucky draw with NZ seems
to have guaranteed he was going to be picked as long as he was
still breathing and not in jail...
Not sure anyone could pick a realistic Lions squad without 80%
of the players who've been chosen, but I would have liked a few
more nods to realism by picking more deserving players - even if
they're less experienced - over some of the Championship mob.

Would you like to share your 36/37-man squad, Rodney?
I think that a successful coach should be given the job as many
times as is required unless the reign is over-punctuated by bad
performance. However, as Jammy G suggests elsewhere, the fact
that WG is now based back down under would be the main reason to
look elsewhere.
