Typical Gatland selection with crash bang wallop centre
selections. Slade and Ringrose can count themselves unlucky.
Ali Price is an underwhelming pick. Cooney, Care and Tomos
Williams are all better high tempo 9's in my opinion.

Would guess the backline will look like this
9) Murray
10) Biggar
11) VDM
12) Farrell
13) Henshaw
14) Watson
15) Hogg
Maybe Farrell on the bench with Harris starting at 13.
Looks a pretty uninspiring backline. Not going to beat SA with
just crash balls and direct running, De Allende and Am in the
centres and their monster back row will be able to contain that
all game long.

I've had to stop looking at it now, it just grows the
frustration. Was planning on going on this tour but changed my
mind last year as Covid was uncertain. Am very glad now, will
save it up for Australia and hope that Gatland is never allowed
back in.

I’d swap vd Merwe for Williams - especially with the SA kicking
game.
I’d guess Farrell has to play as the ball-playing centre.
