I’d be surprised if Tapuai was signed as a marquee player. We
had Saili join us the season before Taps and I think it’s much
more likely to have been him.

Saili was a marquee and Esterhuizen has replaced him. Not sure
who the other is (if it’s still two?)

Read what I said. No thanks “even before” those comments. I
know someone that has played with him and he’s an arse

Might he have grown up a bit since the person you knew played
with him as a teenager?

Matera is a quality player, but given Quins promotion of the
Pride game and inclusively generally, I'd be surprised if we're
targeting someone who's expressed views (no matter how long ago)
which are contradictory.
Agree with others that he probably shouldn't be judged by a
decade old post(s), but commercialy and reputationally probably
not worth it.

If it is still two, the sensible option would be Smith. I’d
assume he’s the best paid player at the club by now, and the
marquee rules used to extend to Academy graduates.
