It's been reported that he's signed with the Crusaders for the
2022 season.

No thanks. Even before his stupid Twitter comments Matera is a
horrible character. Crusaders welcome to him.

You're not seriously turning down a world class player because
of some rude comments on twitter when he was a teenager?

The article mentions London Irish and Munster are also
interested in signing him. Can’t see Munster being a realistic
option after supposedly blocking PSDT’s move for next season and
the fact Matera would continue to be heavily involved in the
Argentina set up so would miss a fair bit of the season. But
like others have said, I don’t think I’d want Matera at Quins.
If we’re after back row players from Stade Francais, I’d much
rather try and get Kremer.

Its not for this season coming, but the season after that
(2022/23). The Rugby Paper said we are looking for a "Big name
signing" and are interested in him (as are Irish and Munster).
Im guessing that may be when Cares new deal runs out

Isn’t Tapuai rumoured to be a marquee player? If he’s off (no
basis for that suggestion beyond this board), then Matera could
join on that basis
