Just found out they've taken the cost of the whole membership
from my credit card, rather than using my credit from last
year's membership.
Of course, it could be user error - but presumably if I've made
that mistake it's not impossible others have.

It was a bit confusing checking out but eventually convinced
myself that the credit would be taken and only £2 from my credit
card.

All done easily and my Friends & Family had all been transferred
across already. Did have to use Edge though as I couldnt get
past the Captcha Bot thingy on Chrome.

I've spoken to the Ticket Office, not clear what the cause was
(I suspect it may well have been my mistake). Anyway - it was
resolved very quickly and easily by the Ticket Office. Really
glad they're not being outsourced to a Ticketmaster call centre.

Sorry to drag this subject up again but I’ve just bought a
ticket to the women’s game this Saturday for the sum of £15.
There were no additional charges.

That's an outrage. I think you should ring the club demanding
you pay a surcharge!

I'd guess that the reason you haven't been charged an additional
cost is explained this from the FAQs for the Ballot for the
men's game:

I'm surprised at the reaction to this post. Ticket handling fees
are an absolute disgrace. Quins giving it fanfair for what is
essentially an increased cost to customers is very galling.
We're freezing ticket prices - t&cs apply.
Some of the responses above imply that ticket master are doing
this out of the kindness of their hearts and just taking a £2
handling fee to cover their overheads. In reality, they are
being paid by quins for the service AND adding a surcharge to
customers for pure profit. Its exactly the same as a shop adding
a charge to every purchase.
