100x harder and don't think Quins will hold 4th. Would love to
be proved wrong but I just cannot see how Quins hold out. Andre
takes so much pressure off Smith and is a massive go forward for
us with the ability to break and offload. I just don't see
Laiske or Benny Taps offering the same. Northmore has been
carving teams recently so hopefully he can step in.

I'd be inclined to think we'll still manage it. Realistically,
we've surely only got Sale and Saints to worry about, as whilst
it might be mathematically possible for anyone from but Wuss to
still overtake us, the odds on anyone from Irish on down racking
up a minimum of 13 points our of the remaining 25 on offer even
if we don't score another point has to be pretty unrealistic.
The respective run ins for us, Saints and Sale are as follows,
with the numbers being current league position, along with Home
       or Away...
       Quins
       Wasps H 9
       Tigers A 8
       Bath H 7
       Sale A 3
       Falcons H 11
       Sale
       Tigers H 8
       Bath A 7
       Bears H 1
       Quins H 4
       Chiefs A 2
       Saints
       Glaws H 10
       Falcons A 11
       Wasps H 9
       Chiefs H 2
       Bath A 7
Obviously any of those games could go any way, my best guess is
that Sale will lose out. Saints need one more win than us and
two more than Sale, but I can't see Sale beating either Bris,
and I can only seem them potentially beating Exeter if the
Chiefs can't change their finishing position one way or the
other as a result, and know they definitely won't be playing
Sale in the semi regardless of the result, as those are the only
circumstances in which I could see Rob Baxter resting players.
Our game against Sale is, of course, a massive one though!

Thanks smart arse - the bans used to give a start date - because
they’re weeks not matches, so does this weekend count?

Always thought it strange that rugby, unlike football does it in
weeks not matches. Also think like football it should be
domestic, euro or international bans depending on where the
offence took place. Never seems right a club should suffer when
a player gets cited for England & vice versa. An exception
being serious foul play (like gouging) which would be universal

Personally I feel that system would be too open to manipulation.
If a fringe player gets sent off in an international, who’s to
say when they would next have been selected anyway?
Appreciate that the same could be said of club players but the
available pool for a club is much more defined and therefore
even a fringe player missing is more obvious. Do bans still also
       mean they can’t train?
Tl:dr I don’t think either system is perfect.

Would you have to develop a Matrix for when said banned player
might have appeared in future games?
