those regulars that don't go with the welsh Lions may well be
rested as it's their only summer off every 4 years so some of
the normal names in the frame won't necessarily be there.

Ah right - that's a good idea, I think. I don't know if Eddie is
the kind of guy to rest players though, but given the absence of
England 'A' matches perhaps it would be right to treat it as an
'A' tour and rest any regulars who aren't with the Lions.
I'd probably still expect more experienced club players to get
the nod, though. Kenningham's been good for us but IMO only so
far as to suggest he has a future at the club, not yet anything
beyond that. Incredibly early days of course :)

Evans would have been in with a very good shout, but Kenningham
is a lot further down the list of candidates. He's definitely
one for the future, though there's a touch of the Curry's in his
style of play if he can continue to develop.
That said, you never know with Eddie. A good run in and the
rate of injuries to flankers on hard ground could well see some
left field picks for the summer training camps.

Also worth remembering that this isn't really the Irish we're
used to. Only the second time they've lost at home this season,
and they've played some cracking rugby this season...
