HARLEQUINS HAVE NAMED THE TEAM TO TRAVEL TO LONDON IRISH IN THE
GALLAGHER PREMIERSHIP THIS WEEKEND AS STALWARTS DANNY CARE AND
MIKE BROWN HIT CAREER MILESTONES WITH THE CLUB
Care is set to become just the third player in history to play
300 games in the Famous Quarters this weekend while Brown will
become the first player to reach 350 appearances for the Club,
both named to start in an unchanged team to travel to local
       rivals London Irish this Saturday.
Care will join Brown and Former Quins Club Captain Chris Robshaw
as just the third player to play 300 games for Harlequins as he
takes to the field against Irish at the Brentford Community
Stadium, live on BT Sport and Channel 5.
Club Captain Stephan Lewies returns to fitness for the first
time since March, taking a spot on the bench as number eight
Alex Dombrandt retains the captain’s armband in the starting
       line-up.
Will Edwards will look to make his Premiership debut, with the
former England Sevens player named amongst the Club’s Impact
Players having made his Harlequins debut in the Heineken
Champions Cup against Munster last December.
Commenting, Attack and Backs Coach Nick Evans said: “We’ve had a
good week’s prep off the back of our Worcester game. The sun’s
out and the boys are in great shape to go out for what we’re
expecting to be a physical match.
“London Irish are a dangerous, well-drilled team, but we’re
focusing on our strengths and what we need to get right in our
       plans this week.
“We know from our draw against them at The Stoop earlier this
season that they have plenty of Test experience to draw on when
the game gets tight, so we’ll be looking to go out there and
make sure we impose our game plan on them.”

Amazing achievement for Care reaching his 300th appearance.
       Definitely a club legend.
Also, great to see Lewies back on the bench.

Declan Kidney has confirmed the squad that is set to welcome
Harlequins to the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday, live
on BT Sport and Channel 5 (kick-off 12:30pm).
In the front row, Facundo Gigena, Agustin Creevy and Ollie
Hoskins combine, with George Nott and Rob Simmons partnering in
       the second row.
Matt Rogerson captains the side from blindside flanker, and
Blair Cowan is at openside flanker. Albert Tuisue continues from
number 8 to complete the pack.
Nick Phipps and Paddy Jackson are named as the halfback duo, as
James Stokes and Curtis Rona make up the centre combination.
An unchanged back three of the London Irish Academy graduates
Ollie Hassell-Collins, Ben Loader and Tom Parton is named.
“Harlequins are in a good run of form, so we know the challenge
that they will bring on Saturday” explained Declan Kidney,
       Director of Rugby.
“There have been many close contests between these two Clubs, so
it has the ingredients for a great game of rugby.”

Looks a strong team. Great to see Lamb has kept his spot, think
he’s been good these last couple weeks and allows Lewies to work
himself back into the starting lineup instead of being
immediately put back in. Edwards being preferred to Herron
could be a sign of where Herron’s future lies.

Good to see consistency in selection and congratulations to
Danny and Mike on those milestones.
Pretty massive gamble putting Edwards on the bench. Don't quite
get that, but in the Fab Four we trust

Both sides close to full strength and two very exciting
backlines. I would hope we'd have a slight edge in the pack

So is Edwards covering 10 then? Is he that sort of player in
sevens? Or are we hoping for Green to cover 10? It's a big shout
but Herron has been a problem so I can see why they're keen to
avoid another mass drop off in performance if/when Smith goes
       off.
Happy to see Lewies is fit enough for the bench at least!

Edwards played at 10 in that friendly against London Irish in a
while ago. Big ask of him to step up to a premiership game.

Maybe Herron is playing in the A team game rather than off the
       bench, could be wrong......
