European Super League of Rugby?

Don't worry. No rumours for this.
Just wondering if we could create a fantasy super league of
rugby clubs, who would you include?
For me it would be-
Leicester
Wasps
Harlequins
Exeter
Leinster
Munster
Glasgow
Edinburgh
Cardiff
Ospreys
Toulouse
Cleremont

Not enough French teams, they are the money men of Rugby, so wod
have more team's.
Leicester
Wasps
Harlequins
Exeter
Leinster
Munster
Glasgow
Edinburgh
Cardiff
Ospreys
Toulouse
Clermont
Lyon
Toulon
Montpellier
La Rochelle
Quins would be lucky to get in on recent years performances.

I don't see how you could justify including any of the Welsh
clubs, and the Scots are a bit of a reach as well, especially at
the expense of Ulster.
Also, if you're going to include Leicester because they used to
be good a decade ago, can you exclude Bath? It's certainly
difficult to justify including them at the expense of Bristol or
Sarries, or Racing for that matter...

I know it's hyperthectiical, but based on money, crowds etc you
would have to go with 4 French, 3 English, 3 Irish, 2 Welsh, 2
Scots, 2 Italian. Feasible 2 8 groups and a knock out cup!
Despite their poor showing the Italian teams are financially
strong, due to sponsorship and would be probably grow in
strength and support.
Pure speculation/discussion on my part:
4 French: Toulouse, Clermont, Toulon, Nord(la Rochelle, 2x
Paris)
3 Irish: Leinster, Ulster, West(Connagt /Munster)
3 English: based a little on the old divisional championship set
up, North, Midland, South. Midland could in theory include N
London, South South and West London.
2 Welsh, no idea! Their union and traditions can only be decided
by themselves, I have no idea which valleys speak to each other
or still hold grudges against themselves ( never an issue for a
sais to intervene!)
2 Scots: as is maybe adding Highlands to Edinburgh and Borders
to Glasgow.
2 Italian: also as is, but maybe thinking about
Rome/South/Sicily as a unit to replace East/West divide along
the Po! (ready for sarky remarks! Po as in River Po not Pooh as
some may regard the current status of Italian rugby)

In the dim distant past I am pretty sure that I remember Mark
Evans saying that a pan European league would eventually happen
in rugby, certainly hope not but i guess ultimately money talks
so who knows....

The problem with Rugby is that the Top 14 have so much money,
they don't necessarily need a European league. Then again the
Footie Premiership is flush with cash and they are doing it.

Am interesting speculation and with CVC taking sizable stakes in
PRL & Pro 14 in these unprecedented times (where in the
"professional era " rugby has been financially hit harder than
ever before, especially the Championship), & required aid with
necessary loans to compensate for lack of spectators ,match day
revenue losses, but especially with future TV deals ....it could
well happen.
Expanding on that I think it more likely we could see a merger
between PRL & Pro14,the latter who have always been outward
looking with their involvement & welcoming the 2 Italian clubs
into that league & recent speculation about a possible USA team
being invited pre- corona.
That said I would be personally against both if ringfencing was
involved.
