Say Something Nice About Quins

We are nearly three quarters of the way through what has been a
bizarre and rather unique season. I think half time on Saturday
will be 3/4s of the way through the normal season. We are, of
course, hoping for two more games and we are in a position to
get there. No one will fancy playing us, which is not always the
case!
We have a team that seems to like each other and are absolutely
on the same page in terms of mentality and style. There is a lot
to be excited about. More than we probably would have thought
possible, as we awaited Exeter playing at the Stoop on the
opening day of the season.
So what have you enjoyed most? A particular game? Moment?
Player? Off-field moment?
For me, it has been the addition of Esterhuizen: Size and
strength with good pace and lovely hands. What a brilliant
player he is. He gives us so much.

Not so much a moment, more the fact I just dont fear playing
anyone now.

I've been glad to see Esterhuizen, Dombrandt, Louw and Marchant
push on.
Smith continues to be a joy to watch.
Evans in the loose has been fantastic.
But undoubtedly the best bit for me has been how Danny and Mike
have recovered from being dropped by England to discover some of
their best form for the club in ages. I always thought Eddie
Jones plays a game that is cross grained with how players from
Harlequins play, and it would appear that Gustard, with his
emphasis on defence, had the same effect. Anyway, it's great to
see them playing so well.

Marler's track suits.
DC's renaissance.
Kenningham getting game time - called it in his first year in
the academy, that he was class. More please.

Esterhuizen is an absolute beast, one for the best players in
the league - not just a crash ball merchant but has good hands
and good defence too.
But highlight of the season for me has been the form of Joe
Marler - destroys just about whoever he comes up against in the
scrum and chop tackles like Simon Shaw in his prime.

The youth players getting a crack in the team and doing really
well, not fearing the scoreline with any prem team

All of the above, plus the huge improvement in our attacking and
defensive lineouts.
When I see Marler, Baldwin and Louw getting ready to pack down
for a scrum, I smile with pride and anticipation.
Northmore and Murley, look, to the manor born, and everyone
seems to be loving playing for our club at the moment.
Sort out the restarts and we’ll be going places.

Absolutely! I think BT Sport showed that we are number 1 for
scrums and lineouts! How wonderful to have that stable platform!
To add to my Ester-love, I think Will Evans is tremendous. I am
so gutted that we weren't there yesterday for his two tries. He
would have heard and felt our appreciation for him! If you gave
me the choice between him and Curry (either or both), I would
take Will in a heartbeat. Just a great player and a lovely bloke
that fits our club perfectly.

Hearing Flatman constantly purring (again likely tomorrow night
) about how Marcus & ALex Dombrandt should be in the national
team and since the departure of PG in January Spring arrived
early.
