I guess Murley and Green over Earle is also saying something —
again, not a selection that I disagree with!

I was thinking about whether this was 11, 12 or 13 first choice
starters. I'm not yet sure that we have first choice wings, but
it does feel like Earle has fallen down the pecking order.

Wings are in many ways the most interchangeable (and sometimes
fragile) of players in a squad - it's not uncommon to constantly
chops and change through the season based on form, fitness and
opposition. I wouldn't read too much into Earle not being
selected - he may be available to play, but may not be as match
fit as Murley or Green. We're lucky to have a wide selection of
       good options.

For me, that's our strongest first VX with the exception of
Lewies and Chisholm for Lamb and Lawday respectively.
The only caveat is at 13 where its arguably a flip of the coin
between Marchant and Northmore (although Northmore ahead for me
based on contributions so far this season)

Earle may be on paternity "leave"...

Can’t complain with the team with all things considered. I can
only think Kerrod isn’t fully fit with Collier on the bench as I
have been really disappointed with Collier’s contributions for a
little while now and Kerrod has been pretty good since he has
come in. Northmore vs Marchant is a coin toss at the moment but
I do like the partnership Marchant and Esterhuizen are bringing.
I expect Marchant will want to prove a point up against Lawrence
who has leapfrogged him in the England pecking order.
Worcester have a very solid team on paper and I think recently
we have continually underestimated them physically upfront
especially. They have big set for forwards which our lads are
going to have to manage. Recently we have stepped up to the
challenge. But I guess they have only won once all season
outside of their COVID walkovers, but they have had some close
       games, albeit mostly at home.
Massively important set of games these against Wuss and Irish.
Can really cement ourselves up in the top 4 with two good
performances and results with a lot of our rivals also playing
each other over the two games. Let’s hope the rest has
reinvigorated them all and we come out firing!

would have added Scott Steele to that list as well for the best
       possible squad, shame he's injured.

I think Marchant over Northmore makes sense due to Marchant’s
defensive ability. Worcester’s biggest threat is probably
Lawrence and Venter in the centres so it makes sense to play
       Marchant.

I'm no chiselled Adonis myself, but I actually thought that
Earle looked like he'd piled on a few lockdown pounds against
Ulster, and had lost a bit of speed as a result!
