Pathetic really. And the link to bloodgate was wholly
unnecessary. I mean I don't understand the thinking behind
playing our 2nd team for a single game, then going back to the
premiership team, but hey, I'm only a fan.

It's easy to consider European competition sacrosanct when your
domestic league is a walk in the park.

I think it's also worth pointing out that it was a Challenge Cup
game. I don't think for a second that if it had been a Champs
Cup game, despite knowing we don't have a team capable of
winning, that we would have put that side out.
It's nice to win the Challenge Cup, but as a competition I can't
say it's particularly high up my list. I'd far rather we
concentrated on the league, building our squad and getting
Champs Cup qualification in order to have a bash at a few of the
big boys next year...
Peter Jackson needs to learn to relax. He should concern himself
with how poor all the Welsh regions are.... because they don't
show up to ANY competition.

We don't need to be banned. We effectively banned ourselves
from further participation in the tournament at the team
selection meeting.

Yeah I probably would as well. But Quins are in with a decent
shout of making a prem semi final and I'd prioritise that every
day of the week.
If you win the Champions Cup you're the best team in Europe. If
you win the Challenge Cup you're what, the 10th best team in
Europe?!
I just think it's a bit of a meaningless competition, aside from
as a route to Champs Cup qualification... if you somehow end up
being good enough to win the trophy but not good enough to be in
the top 6 in your domestic league.
