SUPPORTERS WILL SHORTLY RECEIVE AN EMAIL TO ACTIVATE THEIR
TICKETMASTER ACCOUNT
Harlequins is delighted to announce Ticketmaster Sport as their
new ticketing services partner for the 2021/22 season onwards.
Harlequins have chosen Ticketmaster as their preferred partner
to provide sports ticketing technology solutions on a long-term
deal with the Club.
Having reviewed the market and run an extensive pitch process,
Harlequins’ decision was primarily based around delivering the
best fan experience.
Harlequins fans can also expect a new and improved, highly
intuitive fan ticketing website that will make it easy for fans
to buy and receive tickets seamlessly. The industry leading
platform is already utilised by a range of leading clubs and
organisations nationally and internationally including Arsenal,
Tottenham, The RFU, NFL and IAAF. Harlequins will benefit from a
constant focus on innovation that improves the fan experience.
Harlequins fans
In addition, Harlequins will take advantage of Ticketmaster’s
significant marketing support to build awareness of the Club and
grow the fanbase nationally and internationally.
“We are delighted to appoint the industry leading partner as we
know the additional value that Ticketmaster can bring to
Harlequins and our supporters," said Laurie Dalrymple,
Harlequins Chief Executive Officer.
"Ticketmaster clearly demonstrated a deep understanding of our
industry, our supporter needs and how to deliver a brilliant
level of service.
"Our Members will be the first to benefit from the new enhanced
ticketing platform when our Season Ticket Membership opens for
renewals on 20th April, but all ticket buyers will see this from
the start of the 21/22 season this autumn."
Harlequins fans
Chris Gratton, Ticketmaster Sport, Chief Operating Officer,
added: “We’re extremely proud to have been selected by
Harlequins to be their new ticketing technology provider.
"Our approach is to be supportive through solutions, working in
partnership with our clients to provide tools that ensure the
club’s processes are made more streamlined and efficient, whilst
at the same time providing a great experience to fans.
Innovation based on resilience is a core value at Ticketmaster
and our position at the heart of the sports industry means our
club partners rely on us to have a robust and resilient platform
whilst being able to deliver the latest in ticketing technology
innovations.
"We’re excited to see this partnership develop and deliver upon
our shared ambition to grow the Club’s fanbase. And we are
excited to already have future upgrades and additional features
planned that will see the Harlequins’ ticketing platform
continue to evolve and adapt to fans’ needs."
Harlequins fans
Harlequins supporters will have the opportunity to try out their
new ticketing experience from 20th April when Season Ticket
Membership renewals open for the 21/22 season. The Club will
contact supporters directly on this date.
The 21/22 Gallagher Premiership season is due to start in early
September and supporters will be able to buy Match Tickets in
the weeks building up to the start of the season assuming COVID
regulations relax as expected.
Supporters will shortly receive an email from Quins to activate
their Ticketmaster account. This is a very simple but important
step. There will be the option to keep the same email and same
password but supporters will need to activate it and set the
password manually as part of the transition to Ticketmaster.

The club could do it by managing it themselves for £X.
Or they could save themselves the hassle of dealing with real
people, holidays, sick leave etc... and offload it to a third
party for £X + 10%.
Why should they care? It's not as it they'll be paying the 10%!
Now instead of dealing with/managing a team you just have one
guy doing contract renewals every couple of years.
And how strong is your negotiating position in a few years when
a third party runs all your ticketing, hardware and software and
threatens to pull out leaving you with inserting a completely
new system from scratch...? Oh what the hell, just pay them. I
mean it's the fans buy the tickets.

Think it’s a shame, can remember a game at London Welsh, tickets
didn’t arrive, Quins ticket office sorted out with Welsh that I
could pick up 6 tickets at the ground all went really well
And that also raises the question on season tickets used to be
fairly straightforward speaking to the office etc,

Change in some form is inevitable but I wonder why they fail to
grasp the USP of Quins for many was feeling like you actually
belong to a rugby club.
Ellis took us down another road rapidly doing his corporate best
to undo that feel. Oh dear and now this.
Not sure if Lucy in the office is still there but doubt if
Ticketmaster call centres will give me a better experience than
popping in for a chat and being shown the trophy cabinet whilst
collecting tickets.

I had nothing but good experiences dealing with the ticket
office. Look forward to first having to read 4 pages of "FAQ"
that no-one in their right mind would actually ask, followed by
five minutes of frustrating attempts to get sense out of the
automated chatbot, meanwhile vainly trying to find a telephone
number on the website. And then there will be a honestly nice
person in India, but with a script we have to adhere to no
matter what the problem...

This is going to be awkward for me having been mugged twice by
ticketsheister. I vowed never to use them again after ending up
paying £63 for tickets that I thought were £45 for a London
doubleheader a few years ago. This is after another event where
the tickets don’t cost what they say they do.

Never had anything but a 'poor' experience with TM.
Wonder how the Quins Credits will work when renewing season
tickets/buying tickets??? Should be pretty straight forward with
integrated systems but, unfortunately, I just think its all
going to end in tears....

Will season tickets also have to be purchased/renewed through
TM? I've got to agree with others in that my experience with the
clubs ticket team has always been first class
