If only we had 23 players on the pitch, we might be within a
score.

Whether anyone thinks this is a good team selection and they are
doing okay, don't you find it painful to watch, because i do
😩

As an ST holder I’m glad I cannot be there for this, it’s the
same every time we play Ulster.

I actually don’t find it painfully to watch. I found the Racing
game painfully to watch. Watching young academy players and
players wanting to do well and make an impression is good to
watch.

Effort OK, attainment lacking! Colts against firsts rather than
boys against men. Obviously a management decision to put out
this team, maybe(big maybe) there is a method behind their
rational 🤔

Except that’s not really accurate. Collier and Garcia Botta’s
caps are meaningless but Steele and Lang have just come back
from Scotland’s 6 Nations squad and Lasike is arguably the USA’s
best player.
By the same logic, you could say Reidy and Treadwell’s caps are
equally irrelevant and. McCloskey rarely makes the Ireland
squad.
The bottom line is that we’re playing a scratch team of kids and
second choice players vs. a much stronger side with a lot more
familiarity. I expected it to be closer, but I’m not surprised
we’re losing.
As T-Bone said, the decision to rest our first XV will be judged
on our next batch of league games.

I would like to see Head and the chap we got from Scottish come
on. Think I'm right saying he got himself a few MOM awards in
the champ. Lock converted to the BR

Have to ask the question: What will the management learn from
putting out a 2nd XV for this game? Agreed that some key
players are being rested but what about trying players in key
positions?
Does this show a lack of ambition by not playing a stronger
team in a European competition?

The USA are a terrible international team. Steele and Lang are
on the edges of the squad, like I said. And yes, I would
actually agree with the comments about Ulster's caps and that
it's first XV vs 2nd/3rd, just saying pointing to the caps is
misleading and meaningless.

Northmore playing wing
Green FB
Earle a chance to stake a claim for wing
Hammond and Tizard a chance to stake a claim
Likewise Kennigham
Head gets a chance at Hooker (which is wide open)
Collier a chance to push Kerrod for the bench
